Goals, Goals, Goals!
As I complete one of the goals listed on the Home page, I will chronicle the event below. Many of the goals I had done prior to the stroke, while the rest I was never brave enough to tackle. But something has changed inside of me that inspires. Call it overcoming a fear, seizing the day, or just plain stupidity, but these are my goals and I will see them through, disabilities and all. Enjoy the pictures and thank you to all of my friends who came with me in support! They truly are the best friends a woman could ever be blessed with!

Singing in front of a large audience
Before the video below begins, I said to the audience they’re probably “wondering why this older woman would want to be in a recital tailored towards all of these wonderful kids? Well, I had a stroke almost 8 years ago and as I was working through the recovery process, I realized I had never really set personal goals for myself so I came up with 15 goals, from Archery to Sky Diving, and today you get to become a part of the goal of singing in front of a large audience.” That’s the applause you hear at the beginning. Hope you enjoy watching it!

Repel Down a Mountain…
Opting for an Indoor Mountain Climbing facility instead, I quickly learned that this goal was one I could not achieve. The strength I’m lacking in my right side would require help from my left side, and how am I supposed to do that when my left side is trying to climb as well?! Regardless, I had a ton of fun with my uncle and did actually get two feet off the ground. Check out the video below for proof!
